Hotels

All of our convention hotels have been booked and we are sold out of rooms, please refer to the hotel booking page for other accommodation options.

Please read up on our hotels; the Kansas City Marriott Downtown, the Aladdin, the Hotel Phillips, the Crowne Plaza, the Hilton President, the Marriott Courtyard and Residence Inn, and the Westin at Crown Center. Pricing ranges between $119 to $155 a night and as you can see on the map, our hotels are all within two blocks of the convention center (except for the Westin, which is at the southern end of the free streetcar and about 1.5 miles away from the convention center). Additionally, the Marriott and the Aladdin offer direct access via underground tunnel to the convention center. Childcare will be at the Kansas City Marriott, go here for more information on our childcare services. As we will be using the south end of the convention center, the closest hotels to the MidAmeriCon II activities are the Aladdin, the Crowne Plaza and the Hilton President.

HOTEL UPDATE: The Courtyard/Residence Inn has let us know that their construction has run over schedule and they will not be open in time for MidAmeriCon II. We have been working with their staff and Passkey to contact those displaced to advise them of the situation and to find our members a hotel room with one of our other contracted properties. Please be aware that the new reservations will not be in the individual hotel systems until later this week (week of July 27). Once that occurs, the affected members will be contacted with information on where they have been relocated and provided new confirmations. Any questions can be sent to hotel@midamericon2.org.

For help or information, please contact hotel@midamericon2.org.

The Visit KC website has a wonderful 360 degree view (taken from the Barney Allis Plaza) which shows the Marriott, the Convention Center, the Crowne Plaza and the Aladdin.

Street View from main entrance to convention center looking east at 3 of our 7 hotels. Please note that the plaza in the center is raised and that is why there are stairs. All the hotel entrances are at sidewalk level. Following the sidewalk on the left has a slight slope from the Marriott and no slope from the Crowne Plaza on the right. From the Aladdin, you can choose to cross the plaza or follow the sidewalk to the convention center.
